Madonna Is Obsessed with Her Body, Measures Cellulite Regularly

As she’s nearing 53, Madonna remains in better shape than many women half her age, perhaps even younger. However, in recent months, the singer’s love of fitness has taken a turn for the worse and has become an obsession, says a new report.

Star Magazine (story via here) claims that Madonna’s obsession with her weight is the reason why she and celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson are no longer friends and associates, because the latter got sick of the former’s midnight raging calls.

Moreover, things have only gotten worse with the singer since she parted ways with Tracy, says the report. Now, Madonna is keeping an eye on her body, measuring it daily and looking out for cellulite.

Woe to the brave who dare even suggest that she’s gained some weight, says the report, because they will know the rage of Madonna.

“Madonna is turning 53 in August, and she’s so obsessed with maintaining a youthful appearance, she’s purchased a Cellupulse anti-cellulite acoustic wave therapy machine for $75,000, according to a member of the superstar’s inner circle,” Star writes.

She measures herself regularly and is always looking out for the slightest trace of cellulite on her body, ready to hit the gym instantly to banish it.

“Tracy grew to dread the early-morning phone calls from Madonna ranting about what a useless trainer she was. Madonna would threaten to fire her, and Tracy had to talk her down each time,” the spy says of why Madonna and Anderson are no longer friends.

The singer’s dread of cellulite also came between her and ex-husband Guy Ritchie, who often thought it’d be funny if he joked about noticing a dimple on her thighs. Madonna did not appreciate this kind of jokes.

“Madonna wants the body of an 18-year-old dancer and believes she can maintain her youth if she works hard enough in her gym, which is covered from floor to ceiling with mirrors. She scrutinizes her body in every position, looking for fat like an FBI detective,” says the insider, adding that those who want to remain friends with her know better than to touch upon such delicate subjects as weight gain or body fat.
