Final Fantasy XII Hints XXX (PS2)

Final Fantasy XII is the last game in the very successful series from Square Enix that was launched exclusively on the PlayStation 2 home gaming consoles from Sony.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

The Danjuro

The Danjuro can rarely (5% chance) be dropped by rare game Larva Eater in the Great Crystal. Larva Eater appears after 256 monsters have been defeated near "Teleport XIII or Teleport XIV " of the Great Crystal.

Demonsbane

In the Tomb of the Great King (King Thornwall or whatever name ends with the word wall), there is a secret door in the tomb that gives you the Demonsbane sword. It adds +59 to attack. After you defeat the two Demon walls in the main corridor, there will be three teleport pedestals.

The middle one takes you back to the beginning of the tomb. The others need to be activated. Take the right path and explore through the area until you reach a room with a jewel in the wall. Activate the jewel. An altar will rise and give you a brief description of what it is. Take the teleporter pedestal back to the others. Then, take the left path this time.

Explore the area to find another jewel in a room. Activate it and an altar will lower, leading you to the room with Belias. However, do not go this way yet. Backtrack to the room with the activated jewel and teleporter pedestal. Take it back to the others. Then take the first pedestal back to the beginning. Here (if you defeated the first demon wall) behind where the demon wall was located is another jewel.

Activate it, then take either of the new stairways to the secret area that does not show up on the map which are to the left and the right. Once through the doors you can take either way to the bottom. However, be careful as there will be many high-level elementals that fall from the ceiling. At the very bottom of the staircases, go towards the middle. There will be chest. This chest should contain Demonsbane.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Defeating Anima

Summon Yuna's new Aeon Shiva and attack normally. Heal with her Ice spells on herself. When her Overdrive is full, it should kill Anima. Alternately, use Yuna's Overdrive Grand Summon on Shiva, then just attack a few times.

When fighting Anima, carry a lot of Phoenix Downs to counter the Pain attack. Also, have Rikku steal Grenades from Anima. They are effective against him.

Defeating Al Bhed gunner

Have Tidus, Auron, and Kimarhi up front. Have Tidus use Cheer ten times or more. Have Auron attack, and Kimarhi heal with Hi-Potions.

To defeat the Al Bhed gunner, you must have had Rikku steal from the electric fiends in Macalania Woods. They hold Electro Marbles. Get six or more of them. Then when you are battling the Al Bhed gunner, have Rikku, Auron, and Lulu on your team. Have Lulu use Water and Ice magic attacks on it. Have Auron use regular attacks on it. Have Rikku use the Electro Marbles. The Electro Marbles take up to 300 to 600 damage. It is very effective if you use a lot of them.

Defeating Behemoth Kings

If you have a weapon with "Stonestrike" or "Stone Touch" equipped and manage to use it in the finishing hit, the Behemoth King will not do his "Meteor" counter-attack before dying.

Final Fantasy X-2 Hints XXI (PS2)

Final Fantasy X-2 is a video game in the long-running JRPG series from Square Enix, the first full sequel in the game universe. GAMEPLAY HINTS

Defeating Mega Tonberry

On the 41st floor and above in Via Infinito, the Mega Tonberry will appear. You can also avoid it, but if you accidentally run into it, you will have a very difficult battle. If you are level 75 or below, you have no chance of defeating it except by extreme luck.

The best chance of defeating it at a low level is to use the Cat Nip with the level 3 Trigger Happy strategy. Even so, you might not be able to defeat it if you do not hit it enough, as it has 48,600 HP. There are no advantages to fight it, as it only results in 2,600 experience points, little gil, and only 2 or 3 AP. The best strategy is to just avoid it.

Defeating Shinra

To defeat Shinra in the Sphere Break Tournament during Chapters 3 and 5, have at least one Coin that has Coin Count Echo ability. To do a Coin Count Echo, use the same number of Coins to get a Core Break as many times as possible. For example, if Core says to make a multiple of 9, use the Coins 5 and 4.

If the Core says to make a multiple of 8, use the Coins 4 and 4. The Echo Bonus will keep adding up and will eventually add a major bonus to the quota required (for Shinra it is 50). Shinra's Core Sphere sometimes messes your Echo Bonus by requiring you to make a multiple of 1. If this happens in the last few turns of the match, select as many Border Coins as possible without using them all. Defeat Shinra and you will receive the Lady Luck Dress Sphere. Note: If Coins on the grid contain Item or Rare in their abilities, use them and you may receive the Treasure Hunt Garment Grid.

Final Fantasy X Hints XXX (PS2)

Final Fantasy X is a video game that was created by Square Enix and is launched on the PlayStation 2 home gaming console from Sony in 2001, one of the first to truly show off the graphics power of the new platform. GAMEPLAY HINTS

Defeating the Sanctuary Keeper

Start the fight with Tidus, Yuna and Auron. Cast Hastega and Protect on everyone and use Auron's armor and Mental Break attacks against the creature. After breaking its defense , switch Auron for different fighters. Remember to cast Haste and Protect on each new party member you switch in.

Cast Reflect on the creature, then summon Aeons that are already in Overdrive mode. Each Aeon will only get one shot because the Sanctuary Keeper will use Mana Breath to eliminate them. After the Keeper loses half its HP, it will use Curaga on itself. However, if you cast Curaga on it one of your party members will receive a well deserved reward and the creature will receive nothing. Beware of this Boss' attack pattern.

It starts with Photon Wings, then two regular attacks, Mana Breath, then two Curagas. It will also sometimes counter with a Tail Sweep. It is important to protect your party from status affects -- equip them with armor that protects them from Sleep, Silence, Darkness and Confusion.

Have Tidus, Yuna, and Lulu (with Bio learned) in your party at the start Have Tidus cast Hastega first if you have it, then Lulu cast Bio. Next, have Yuna cast Reflect on Sanctuary Keeper. This way, he cannot counter with Esuna or Protect on himself. Once Lulu is in turn, switch to Auron and do Armor Break. After that, have Tidus use Haste on Auron.

Have plenty Holy Waters and Remedy available because of his Photon attack which causes 750 to 1250 HP damage and imposes a number of status ailments on the party, including Curse (disables the Overdrive ability). While Bio drains 2000 HP out of Sanctuary Keeper on every turn, make sure Yuna is kept alive if you have no Phoenix Downs. If you do have Phoenix Downs, concentrate on keeping your HP up.

Be careful of Sanctuary Keeper's Mana Blaster attack, which will deal around 3000 to 3500 HP damage. With Bio doing its work, have Auron and Tidus deal physical blows while Yuna heals the party. If Sanctuary Keeper casts Reflect any member of the party, have Yuna cast Dispel, since he knows that Reflect has been cast on him. After all the physical attacks by Tidus and Auron and with Bio draining the HP out of him, he should be easy to defeat.

Final Fantasy XII Hints XV (PS2)

Final Fantasy XII is a Square Enix developed and published video game that incorporates all the elements of the JRPG genre and creates a deeper combat system.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Defeating Zalera

Before you look for him, you should have Vaan, Penelo, Ashe, Basch, Baltheir, and Fran with you. They should know all of their Quickenings. Once you get to him you should have everyone at level 20 or higher. Have your strongest people using Cura or Curaga Magick on your party and Zalera, have at least five Ethers, and in Config set the Battle mode on "Wait". Start by having only one person in your party (preferably your

weakest).

Then, immediately have them use their Quickening. Immediately afterwards, bring out another person (the second weakest), but keep the person you used before out, and use their quickening immediately. Next, bring out another person and use their Quickening, then put your weakest member into your reserve and bring out another person to use their Quickening. Repeat this until everyone's MP is zero. You should have done six Quickenings.

By this time, if you did at least an eight-combo Quickening each time he should have about 5% health remaining. Restore the people using Healing Magick's MP and switch out your strongest people to use healing Magicks on him to finish him off. You will end up in the waterways and your party will probably be too weak to kill the monsters. Save, and summon Zalera. He will use Kill on the monsters that you pass so you can leave easily.

Before you fight Zalera make sure everyone in your party has Curaja. Once you get to the save point just before you fight him, have everyone cast Faith and Reflectaga on your party. Run up into the room where you will see Zalera and have your party members start casting Curaja on themselves.

If you have Faith on your party members, Curaja will do about 8,000 to 9,999 points of damage when reflected back at him. If he has not summoned his minions yet, he will get hit nine times for near maximum damage. Do that twice with each party member and the battle will be over. If done correctly you should be able to defeat him in less than one minute.

Final Fantasy X Hints XXVIII (PS2)

Final Fantasy X is an installment in the most successful Japanese role-playing game series, created and published by Square Enix, starring Tidus as the main character of the story. GAMEPLAY HINTS

Defeating Omega Weapon

Use Kimahri to use Lancet. He will learn the Overdrive Nova. Use Nova and get Yuna to summon Magus Sisters. Use their Overdrive, then use their special attacks which are Passado, Razzai, and Camiside. Keep doing this until Omega Weapon is defeated. Use same strategy on Ultima Weapon.

Train the Magus Sisters until Cindy and Sandy are about 20,000 HP and their Overdrive gauge drive is full. First, use Kimari's Lancet on Omega, then summon the Magus Sisters and use Delta Attack to do 99,999 damage.

Use the Magus Sisters and all your problems will be solved. The Magus Sisters are extremely powerful, but have some problems. You cannot control exactly what they do, and sometimes they will just "take a break." You can also use them to defeat Sin.

To find Omega Weapon and Ultima Weapon you must explore the ruins with a No Encounter ability on one of your characters (Peaceful Bangle, Ductile Rod, etc.). The best way to find them is to have a high level. When you enter, you will be tempted to go straight. Instead, go to the left and then straight. The rest of the way should be obvious.

Have your three fastest party members (except for Yuna or Kimahri) in the starting formation. Use your first party member that can move, but not Yuna or Kimahri, to swap out for a member who can steal. Steal the 30x Gamblers Spirit from the second Weapon.

Use the second member to swap for Kimahri and use his Lancet skill to acquire the blue magic "Nova." Then, use the last party member to swap for Yuna and summon the Magus sisters with a full Overdrive. After about one Overdrive and two Razzia's, the Weapon should be defeated.

Final Fantasy XII Hints XII (PS2)

Final Fantasy XII is a video game which tasks players with following a complex story, in the standard style of the series, while building a party that can handle any combat situation the game throws at them.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Defeating Ultima

You should be at least level 70, and have Light proof armor and Dark type weapons. To find Ultima, go back to Giruvegan. Go back in the Great Crystal and follow these steps. Note that sometimes you will be timed, so be quick.

1. Begin at Way Stone VIII and trek up to Scorpio Gate Stone. Hit the switch and go back to the stone, turn right, and head up to Way stone IX.

2. Pass Way stone XX and take either the left or the right path on the opposite side to get to Sagittarius Gate stone. Return to Sagittarius I and II. Go through gate 1 and go to Way Stone XI and use it.

3. Take the rising path to get to Gemini Gate stone. Hit the switch and go up the next rising path. Go past Gemini 1 and go to Gemini 2. Go though either of the gateless paths after the door to Way stone XV. Use it.

4. Follow the center path up to Libra Gate stone. Use it, then go back to the Way Stone. Take the path on the right to Gate Libra I. Deactivate it and go on up. Take the rising path on the left to Capricorn Gate stone. Flip the switch and go back down. Take a right, back to Way stone XVI.

Use the path going down on the opposite side to find Gate Capricorn I and Virgo Gate Stone. Hit the switch and once again go back to Way Stone XVI. Use the center path to go to the next platform, then take either path to the last Way Stone, XVII. Use it, then save the game. The middle path is Ultima's.
