First ‘Dallas’ Trailer Is Out – See It Here

The feud lives on: many years after the original “Dallas” series ended on a high note, a reboot is finally happening at TNT. With a release date for the summer of 2012, the new “Dallas” got its first trailer just hours ago – and you can see it below, at the end of the article.

Talk of remaking the series, one of the most popular in television to date, has been around for years but, for various reasons, it never happened.

Rumors picked up speed last year, when insiders began talking about how Larry Hagman may return to reprise his role as JR Ewing, while Kiefer Sutherland would be playing a younger version of him.

The last part turned out to be wrong – but JR is definitely back and he’s just as mean and power-driven as always.

The trailer shows glimpses of life at the Ewing mansion, years after the story that was told in the original story.

Some of the characters appearing in it will also be included in the new TNT offer, most notably Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing) and Linda Gray (Sue Ellen).

New faces will also be on the show, but the feud is the same one, as AOL TV also points out. Moreover, in the spirit of the old “Dallas,” the trailer also throws in some slapping, collar-grabbing, passionate kissing and, of course, a few staring contests.

“Get ready for a return to ‘Dallas.’ TNT is bringing the classic drama back from its oil-drenched grave for a 2012 reboot, and there are plenty of familiar characters and plot points to please long-time fans,” AOL writes.

“The new trailer features Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and J.R. (Larry Hagman) at odds, with their sons Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe) and John Ross (Josh Henderson) also squabbling. Like father like son!” the e-zine adds.

Packed with intense moments that are bound to make fans feel a bit melancholic and with lots of scenes for the younger viewer (mostly of the two Ewing heartthrobs), the trailer is truly promising.

Check it out below.
