Verizon Puts Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE on Pre-Order

Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has just added to its offering a new Android-based device, namely the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet PC, which comes with support for the 4G LTE network the operator fired up in December last year.

Two versions of the tablet PC were made available for pre-order today, namely a 16GB and 32GB flavor, priced at $629.99 and $729.99, respectively.

Both these devices can be purchased with the signing of contract agreements with the wireless carrier, priced at $529.99 for the 16GB model, and at $629.99 for the 32GB flavor.

Those who will go for a contract agreement with the device will have four different options at their disposal, including one at $20 per month, with 1GB of data included, a $35 monthly option for 3GB of data, $50 for 5GB of data, and $80 for 10GB.

The Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 tablet PC is touted as the lighter tablet PC in the world, and also as the thinnest one, measuring 10.1" (H) x 6.90" (W) x 0.34" (D) and weighing in at only 20.1 ounces.

The device comes with a large 10.1-inch 1280x800 WXGA TFT touchscreen display and runs under Google's Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system

The tablet PC sports an Nvidia Tegra2 Dual Core 1GHz Processor inside, complemented by 1GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of ROM.

Samsung also packed it with a 3.0MP rear - facing camera with auto focus, flash and HD video recording capabilities, as well as with a 2.0MP front - facing camera for video calling.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is capable of providing users with great multimedia capabilities, and also offers them great Internet browsing features, as well as support for a wide range of applications that can be downloaded from the Android Market.
