The GOM Encoder software is an easy-to-use MP4, WMV, AVI and OGM, FLV converting (encoding) application.
Known Bugs and Issues:
GOM Encoder does not guarantee that it can convert all video formats, and the following issues are known.
· Some cell phones may not be able to play videos encoded by GOM Encoder properly due to the cell phone's video play issues.
· Some broken video files may be playable using video players, but once they are encoded, A/V sync issue may arise.
· For some WMV files, it may not be able to covert only a part of a video.
· Video files with the width not in the order of 4 can not be encoded.

Requirements:
· Pentium 4 processor or greater
· Depending on the type of a video, a codec to play the video may be required.
Limitations:
· 30 days trial
· A working internet connection is required every time you run the trial version.
· You are required to update GOM Encoder every time a new version is released.
· A GOM Encoder watermark will be embedded on all videos converted with the trial version.
· The function enabling users to split files based on a percentage of time is unavailable.
· The bit rate is locked at 128kbps when converting files into the MP3 format.
· The option enabling users to create an MP3 file when converting to the AVI or FLV format is unavailable.

Motion JPEG Output Support Added:

GOM PICKER Released:
· GOM’s streaming video download utility, GOM PICKER, is now included with GOM Encoder.
· GOM PICKER allows you to instantly download almost any streaming video you’re watching in your web browser.
· Currently GOM PICKER is restricted to Internet Explorer, and videos that include any type of DRMs can not be downloaded. Downloading of live streams is also not supported at this time.
Ability to select Resize Filter added:
· If you’re changing the screen size of a video during conversion, you can now choose from “Image Resampling”, “Bilinear”, “Bicubic”, and “Lanczos” resize filters. Each filter emphasizes conversion speed and picture quality differently.
