Defeating the Sanctuary Keeper
Start the fight with Tidus, Yuna and Auron. Cast Hastega and Protect on everyone and use Auron's armor and Mental Break attacks against the creature. After breaking its defense , switch Auron for different fighters. Remember to cast Haste and Protect on each new party member you switch in.
Cast Reflect on the creature, then summon Aeons that are already in Overdrive mode. Each Aeon will only get one shot because the Sanctuary Keeper will use Mana Breath to eliminate them. After the Keeper loses half its HP, it will use Curaga on itself. However, if you cast Curaga on it one of your party members will receive a well deserved reward and the creature will receive nothing. Beware of this Boss' attack pattern.
It starts with Photon Wings, then two regular attacks, Mana Breath, then two Curagas. It will also sometimes counter with a Tail Sweep. It is important to protect your party from status affects -- equip them with armor that protects them from Sleep, Silence, Darkness and Confusion.
Have Tidus, Yuna, and Lulu (with Bio learned) in your party at the start Have Tidus cast Hastega first if you have it, then Lulu cast Bio. Next, have Yuna cast Reflect on Sanctuary Keeper. This way, he cannot counter with Esuna or Protect on himself. Once Lulu is in turn, switch to Auron and do Armor Break. After that, have Tidus use Haste on Auron.
Have plenty Holy Waters and Remedy available because of his Photon attack which causes 750 to 1250 HP damage and imposes a number of status ailments on the party, including Curse (disables the Overdrive ability). While Bio drains 2000 HP out of Sanctuary Keeper on every turn, make sure Yuna is kept alive if you have no Phoenix Downs. If you do have Phoenix Downs, concentrate on keeping your HP up.
Be careful of Sanctuary Keeper's Mana Blaster attack, which will deal around 3000 to 3500 HP damage. With Bio doing its work, have Auron and Tidus deal physical blows while Yuna heals the party. If Sanctuary Keeper casts Reflect any member of the party, have Yuna cast Dispel, since he knows that Reflect has been cast on him. After all the physical attacks by Tidus and Auron and with Bio draining the HP out of him, he should be easy to defeat.
