Already hailed as one of the most stylish and sophisticated young female presences on the scene right now, Emma certainly acts the part in a stunning photospread for the mag by Mario Testino.
Dressed in sparkly, heavy and beaded outfits, with her short hair slicked back and her strong brows perfectly manicured, the actress truly vamps it up in dark burgundy lipstick, the kind she’d probably never wear on the red carpet.Perhaps this is precisely the appeal of this spread, in that it shows a side of Emma that would clash with her sweet, innocent, girl-next-door image, word online has it.
Still, the accompanying interview is just as entertaining as the spread. For starters, Emma compares her time on the “Harry Potter” franchise to living a bubble from which she’s just recently come out.
“I have had no control over my life... I have lived in a complete bubble. They found me and picked me for the part. And now I’m desperately trying to find my way through it,” she says.
Emma says co-star Daniel Radcliffe has always been – and will most likely remain so in the future – a source of inspiration for her in the way he handled his part in the huge film franchise.
She also describes the relationship with him as a brother-sister one, while she sees in James Franco a mentor of sorts, because he too is trying to juggle a career in film and theater with school and various side projects.
“It was such a relief to speak to someone who is trying to do the same thing I’m doing. I talked to him about juggling studying and making films and going backward and forward. He’s not afraid or limited by what he fears people will say about it,” Emma says.
In the same interview, she also talks about making the “Harry Potter” makeup van her own personal playground to experiment with products and colors, being a romantic and considering going back to school.
